Hannah

Hannah is a wonderful 7-10 year old German Shepherd mix. She was adopted from a shelter in Indiana almost two years ago by an older gentlemen who wanted to give an older dog a chance. He treated her for Heartworm disease and gave her all the bells and whistles a dog could hope. The sad news is that Hannah lasted longer than her dear owner and he passed away March 28th, 2008. He didn't have any family and so Hannah was supposed to go back to the shelter. We intervened because we think this lovely dog needs now a 3rd chance at a happy ending! Hannah is a great dog. She is still very active and loving. She is totally trained, perfect left alone loose in the house for up to 10 hours per day. Hannah knows sit, shake and down and she walks nicely on a leash unless she sees a squirrel or rabbit. . Hannah does very well with other dogs and children. She is actually afraid of cats and tries to avoid them as best she can but if they get in her face, she will react. Hannah should not got to a home with cats or other small mammals. She loves to try to chase them. Hannah would love a home to call her own and a nice recliner or soft dog bed she can curl up in. Please consider adopting an older dog. What you would loose in years with her is totally worth having a trained, finished and perfect dog.
